Test Description The NTRK NGS Fusion Panel is an RNA-based next-generation sequencing panel that detects translocations and fusions of the Neurotrophic Tropomyosin-Related Kinase (NTRK) genes NTRK1, NTRK2, and NTRK3 with known and novel fusion partners. Point mutations in select exons of these three genes are also detected. In solid tumors, the presence of an NTRK gene fusion is a biomarker for response to tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) inhibitor therapy.
